I was born in 1978 in Al- Kut city of Iraq. Straight from childhood at the age of four I loved drawing. I was inspired by my uncle n my elder brothers who also drew, wrote calligraphy n were known for their outstanding work in our city amongst other artists. When I was 5 or 6 years my Uncle told my family that I am going to join fine art college because he already knew the talent I had in within me naturally! My Father was against this decision as he thought I would be an Engineer or a Doctor.

Before I joined kindergarten , my brothers n sisters had realized that for some time their exercise books were gradually getting thinner as I pulled pages from them to draw. They used to replace their exercise books on a weekly basis!

At the age of 18, when I finished High school I was awaiting my invitation to join The fine art college of Baghdad without the knowledge of my parents, thinking I had applied for an engineering college. The day they realized, finally came to understand me when the fine art college letter popped up at home in the mail box!

In college when I was in 2nd year, my parents realized that I was in the right place at the right time! I was so much dedicated to art n with a lot of help of my lecturers, friends and college mates I successfully finished my course with distinction marks n held
3rd position, out of 82 students. Decided to pursue my master degree and in my 6th year just 3 months left to defend my thesis, the war became harsh and unfortunately our college was shut down for security reasons as many students had lost their lives. This was a great shock in my life. I almost gave up myself with art, but knew there was no turning back and left for Damascus in Syria. I decided to turn over a new page in my life to settle elsewhere, continue my work with art, get a job and live!

Currently based in Voronezh, Russia at the State University pursuing my master degree, in the faculty of journalism specializing in Advertisement and design.
